Chief Executive OfficerSaint Christopher’s IncHi, I’m Dr. Sarah Ruback, the CEO of St. Christopher’s Inc., one of New York State’s oldest non-profits, whose mission was serving adolescents residential treatment center special needs. Prior to CEO, I served as the Assistant Executive Director of Residential Services, where I lead the division responsible for youth-care, healthy outcomes, and productive re-entry into their lives post-high school. I started a Therapeutic & Healing Arts program with plans of integrating both Pilates and MELT classes and teacher training for staff formally into clinical treatment models for youth.
While my path has been unexpected, it is all connected! After I graduated from the Yale School of Drama in 2002, I pursued acting while teaching in New York City at Core Pilates NYC for 15 years. There I was the first student in their Comprehensive Pilates Training Course, then evolved into developing, teaching, and leading the program as CPNYCs Director of Education, both nationally and abroad. In my time at CPNYC, I trained upwards of 1,000 instructors and taught clients of all kinds and conditions. I hold a Master's of Fine Arts in Acting from Yale University and Doctorate in Educational Leadership, Administration, and Policy from Fordham University. In addition to my full-time work and mission, I am an NCPT (NationaIy Certified Pilates Teacher), served on the Board of Directors for the National Pilates Certification Program, teach Anatomy in Clay® courses to movement professionals, and serve on the faculty of The MELT Method ®! Finally, I practice Pilates and MELT myself every day - without it, nothing else is possible. |
