Her extensive experience includes contributions to UK public schools, US private Montessori institutions, and prestigious teacher training programs such as the Gulf Coast Montessori Teacher Education Center and the Montessori Education Center of the Rockies. As a researcher for the American Montessori Society Innovation Fellowship Think Tank (2023–2025) and an examiner for Pearson Education (UK & US), she has played a pivotal role in shaping educational thought and practice.
In 2007, Kate co-founded Kingwood Montessori School, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in Texas, where she served as Director until August 2020. Her leadership at Kingwood Montessori reflected her unwavering commitment to educational excellence, fostering a dynamic learning environment rooted in Montessori philosophy and contemporary research. With a Fine Arts degree (1981) and recognition as a Licentiate of the Society of Designer Craftsmen, Kate’s work extends beyond education into the realm of fine arts and emerging technologies. Her artistic pursuits include bronze sculpture, 3D digital modeling, and artificial intelligence, reflecting a deep engagement with both traditional craftsmanship and cutting-edge digital innovation. A passionate advocate for educational transformation through the Montessori Method, Kate thrives on collaboration with dynamic, knowledgeable professionals across disciplines. She firmly believes that Montessori education stands at the forefront of 21st-century learning, seamlessly integrating philosophical depth, contemporary neuroscience, and practical application. Her work is dedicated to preparing individuals who not only embody intellectual and creative excellence but also exemplify the profound ontological nature of authentic learning and human development. |
